George is a “man” of the people. Whether showing in the ring or meandering down the streets of Boston, this well “healed” bullmastiff has the temperament to adjust to any environment and enjoy life in the moment. His friendliness is so great that he is welcomed in numerous establishments throughout New England normally frequented by only two legged creatures.
At home he is somewhat of a clown, playing with Maggie Mae, our Saint Bernard, and constantly finding new and better ways of outsmarting the people component of the household.
But, the best testament to George’s personality was expressed by a woman who we met on a walk one day. She was raised in a distant country where she grew up afraid of dogs, especially large dogs that were considered menacing and dangerous. She commented on how approachable and friendly George was and how our meeting gave her a new perspective on dogs.
George is not only a valued member of our family, but an excellent ambassador of the breed.
